Re: 2014 Durango - Features and Changes

Will the 3.6 L V6 be available with 2 speed Xfer case in the AWD model?

Hey Marlon, whadya think of the new Black Laguna interior on the R/T? I think it goes well with the Redline exterior...

Stupid move on Chrysler's part in my opinion. They could have entered that market with no competition in the price point.

The rest of better blow me away, or I'm going a different direction.

Hrmph.

As long as they keep the paddle shifters for 8-speed on the steering wheel, I could live with something like that I suppose. Though I would hope the reason for doing this would be to free up space in the center console for more storage.

Thanks for the info.

I never understood why Chrysler offers the v6 with 2-speeed case available in all but the lower Grand Cherokee 4WD models, but not the Durango. I need to have the 2-speeed Xfer case with the neutral so I can tow the car behind my motorhome...

I'll have to decide between a GC with five only seating or go with the V8 on the Durango... first I'll be doing some test drives though

[QUOTE="Marlon_JB2;774454"]OK I'll TRY to be more specific.

2. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8, original picture still applies.

I'm wondering if Milous helped piece together the mystery of tidbit#2...that dial looks very similar to the DriveSelector in the JAGUAR that may be mated to the new EIGHT speed tranny. Of course, I could be way off...

In the mid '50's I recall Chrysler introduced the pushbutton shift panel to replace the automatic selector lever... it didn't last too long.

The shift knob idea seems unusual although many 4WD's have that for 4wd range control...

Oh well, still waiting to do some test drives.

Shift knob vommit.. will any design cues from the Ram translate over? I'm liking the front end and 22's.
