For example, the LED daytime running lights are now not listed as being available for the Rallye, but in the feature availability sheet from Media.Chrysler.com, they are listed as Standard. Any idea which is correct (if they're not available, I'm totally disappointed, as I thought the point of the Rallye was to incorporate many of the R/T features)? Also, the feature availability sheet that's in pdf format at the beginning of this thread is different from the one that's available on Media.Chrysler.com (click on Dodge (on the left side), click on Durango (on left side), and then go to ride side an click on 2014 Durango Feature Availability). For instance, the feature sheet at the beginning of this thread lists the "Customer Preferred Package" as standard for the Rallye, yet the one on Media.Chrysler.com doesn't list that anywhere. Any idea why that difference & which feature availability sheet is correct?
The sheet posted here is the most up to date. Not what you wanted to hear I'm sure.

Re: 2014 Durango - Features and Changes

Here is the Parts Explosion..... This is 2013 Data, keep in mind some of these items may have changed. Milous may update, which I should point out, he knows what Chrysler is building before they do it seems.

I have seen twice this month where the order system was wrong and Milous was correct. (for the benifit of prior posters)

1-4 are the 2 cargo area cover configurations.
5 is the upgraded stereo bin (I am attempting to locate a diagram of the other part, I have all the part #s)
7 is the storage bin when you have no 3rd row
8 is a jack storage cover

This looks like a fairly big job but the 2 users who are interested in making the swap should do a little more exploring before pulling the two appart. let me know if there is something further I can provide.

Re: 2014 Durango - Features and Changes

2014 Owners manuals are now available for download on Dodge's site, this will help kill the time. Huge deal for me as I like to read every relevant section.

Haha lucky us if we go through with it I have been in the auto collision industry as a tech/estimator/manager for the past 12 yrs I can get illustrations from our estimating system, and I have access to alldata if we would ever need it. But taking apart interiors and exterior panels fenders, bumpers, basically anything quarter panels, door skins, roofs, the only thing I have yet to do really is put in a frame rail. But sometime soon hopefully. I went more from the tech side to estimator side to save my knees. That work is pretty rough. As far as the wiring goes most of the newer cars all have the same body harnesses and if the vehicle does not have the feature it is not plugged in but the connector is still there for it. Example for fog lamps although standard for the durango other makes and models have the harness wire tied behind the bumper so if it is dealer installed all they have to do is take the cover off, mount the fog lamps to the cover, plug them in, and depending on what switch they have (toyotas usually have blank spots for toggle switches to go) they take the harness that is tied up behind the dash and plug it in to the toggle and mount it. All makes and models are different although like I said the newer vehicles tend to have the same harnesses and you just have to run the short harness to them. I am assuming for the amp the wiring would come back to the quarter panel somewhere and have a connector with a disconnect that goes to the amp. Sorry if this does not make sense and for all the run on sentences. But I am on the app on my tablet and this typing is a lot of thumbing.

Did you see Willx's post? Looks complicated and the two bins appear to be entirely different sizes. I'm game for making the swap, but that image he posted makes me second (third??) guess taking the SSCG....

Its hard because there are a lot of features in the SSCG that are worthwhile, but I know how important that storage is to my wife.

Grumble....

1-4 are the 2 cargo area cover configurations.
5 is the upgraded stereo bin
7 is the standard sotrage bin
8 is a jack storage cover (looks like the jack location changes **)

This looks like a fairly big job but the 2 users who are interested in making the swap should do a little more exploring before pulling the two appart. let me know if there is something further I can provide.
Ugh, what a mess...those two bins look to be entirely different sizes front to rear in addition to side-to-side making me wonder if a swap is even possible especially with the jack relocation.

I'm now really starting to rethink taking the SSCG - it has a lot of good stuff, but the expense of making this swap just adds cost. A little sour on the option bundling at the moment...

I know I've asked before - just to confirm again - the trailer tow group with its full size spare doesn't impinge on this storage area at all, does it?

No the Underbody shape does not change.

Yes it looks pretty complicated.

From what I see looking at this photo is for the special service durango as we get these delivered to us at work for the government. The special service durangos we get at work have the 3rd row seats eliminated and extra storage in them take a look at the photo I have and look at the diagram

Hmmm, There is no other parts listed in the Database.... The other cargo bin definitely matches up with what you have posted. Can you take a picture inside the rear most Cargo Bin. Then I will see if I can find another parts break out for this vehicle.

I will edit my post accordingly.
