1. Does anyone know if the Hemi in the Citadel sounds the same as in the R/T or is it more muted like in the JGC?

2. If you get the Hemi in the Limited trim, does it come with the dual exhaust?

Thanks in advance!
Dual exhaust with the Hemi on Limited, yes, per the specs PDF on page 1 of this thread. Citadel gets dual exhaust with either motor.

Can't help you on the other question.

Thanks, Dave. I missed that in the specs pdf.

Anytime. Happy to help.

So many features in the D it's easy to miss stuff. I think I've read through that doc 100 times, and I still go back to it....

Good luck with the decision. I don't think you can go wrong.

For us, we went Limited V-6 because fuel economy was more important than towing ability as our future tow need are going to be lighter, and since it's my wife's truck the HEMI was overkill for 90% of her driving.

I have a Citadel with the Hemi and I wish I could answer your first question. Partner in crime at a trade show, or I'd have him drive by so I could record. Fairly quiet inside, with just a throaty sound. Quiet idle.....used remote start from inside the house, and actually had to go out to make sure it was running. Might take it out on the highway later with the windows down and see how it sounds. When we watched the R/T video my husband said he would be surprised if the Citadel sounded quite that racy.

Hmmmmm.... I think I recognize that Citadel. Perhaps I'll go do the same with mine, as long as my neighbors aren't out.

Re: 2014 Durango - Features and Changes

Thanks for re-posting the video on the V6 sound.
I want to dive a citadel with the hemi, but the dealer doesn't have any except for the R/T. I will go drive the V6 again and if that is good power, I will probably go with that. Thanks again for the replies!

Tried to replicate the YouTube video with my Citadel and Hemi. Second try with remote start, as video wasn't running first time. More rumble upon start, then actually gets quieter as it idles.

Thought I was uploading video, but no luck.

JoeyD you shouldn't be far behind!
well that's an interesting turn of events. I'm headed the dealer at 5pm. If the option to order DVD is back, great, if not oh well, ordering without.
