Re: 2014 Durango production

Stopped by my local dealer today to see if any Durangos with the rear dvd entertainment package are in the pipeline. My dealer had previously told me (and confirmed again today) that a search of the "system" in addition to dealer inventory, will show durangos that are close to being built, all the way through delivery. He thought it might include D1 status and on. Since there has been some suggestion that they may be going into production tomorrow, I was in hopes of finding one.

The result was that my dealer still can't search using the rear dvd entertainment package for some reason (nor can he order one). So we loaded up all citadels in a 2000 mile radius from here in MO and scrolled down looking at each one for the rear entertainment package in the options list. None exist, except the blue one at Flemington, in NJ. So if he's correct that "in the system" includes Durangos that are nearly ready to be built, then it may be a while before they build any with the rear entertainment package.

I was disappointed. Joe, are you seeing anything different?

No, though it has been confirmed by Milous that the projected date for DVD production has been pushed to Oct 1. (That is still subject to change).

I am using this link to see if the DVD production date changes. It appears to be accurate:

Donlen Production Updates for Chrysler Cars

At this point, my Black citadel is actually in D1 as far as I know. (Been there since late August). I am expecting this one to be produced in the first production run of DVD vehicles, which would be the first week of October.

My granite is still in "pre-release", so I'm less confident it will be part of the first production run, and that may end up being in next month's production run (late October I believe.)

You can be sure I'm monitoring this.

I just went to shipment today as well. Shipping to Charlotte, NC.

Hopefully it will be here soon. Going to sell my Jeep tonight.

I'd guess around two weeks. I'm hopefully picking up my fully loaded (Minus Bluray) black R/T Tomorrow.

Joining JeepGarage as a Premium Member and submitting your information to Milous will get you access to those details. It's referred to on here as MOTS which I think stands for Milous Order Tracking System. I know almost exactly where mine is right now and know when it is predicted to arrive at the dealer -- 9/30!

See Page 1 of this for more information:

Well worth it. Besides supporting the site it's two weeks of fun for less than $30. You get to see what a type A obsessive personality is like as you check it multiple times/day waiting for the next update and googling every rail stop to see what it looks like.

Re: 2014 Durango production

Wow, I barely had time to stalk the train! My Durango is already at the rail yard in Jessup. Now, the real wait begins, knowing it's just 30 miles away from the Century Dodge. Will it be days, a week, more??? Immo's R/T spent 8 days at the rail yard. Stay tuned!

30 miles away???

I'd be there peering through the fence trying to find it!
