Re: 2014 Durango production

Yes what a tease for you. Milous must be having fun with you. Looks like I had final inspection and departed factory this morning as per the updated MOTS.

Re: 2014 Durango production

Just thought I'd add my note here.
My Granite Limited (finally) got delivered. Ordered about Sept. 15.
Was choosing between a MDX and the Durango and am very happy with the choice made.
I was a little worried about the rear visibility, but it turns out it is fine.
Am giving up a little space from an older Honda Pilot I got rid of since the back row has two seats instead of three and I went with captains seats in the second row. But the ride - MAN! there is no comparison. So smooth and quiet.
Hopefully reliability stays up there, too.

Haven't seen any 14's on the roads around here in the Pacific NW.

Re: 2014 Durango production

Very nice. Good luck with it. Glad to hear you like it and I hope the reliability stays up there as well. Sounds like we all looked at similar cars as well on this forum. Which engine did you go with?

I also looked at all the competitors listed by others on this site. Another close choice for me was the Flex because of the space. But liked the performance and towing of the Durango better.
I chose the V6. I don't need the extra power and do want the extra MPGuh's.
Plus I didn't particularly like hearing the growwwwl of the hemi in the 13 I test drove.

Dodged <---(pun) a bullet with the flex. You'd have been seen in it...

You may see my black D roaming around the Seattle area. I'm the guy going 30 to 55mph in a blink of an eye (I know break-in isn't what it used to be, but I can't NOT do it)

I had a hard time too bringing myself to go WOT at 60 miles. Then I thought my last two new Hondas I totally babied for break-in both ate a quart of oil every 5,000 miles since day one. I've always known there was this crazy theory to properly seat the piston rings required some WOT accelerations when new but I always regarded it as stuff you find on the lunatic fringe of the internet. Then I see it in the manual and said wtf, I'll try it. Hopefully I'll end up with a car that doesn't eat oil, been a long time since I had one of those.
