Looks that way, they are still available on the Jeep Grand Cherokee with late availability note. If the supply chain can't get them, I'm sure that the better selling jeep will have priority over the Durango.

They might be available around November 18 to order given previous posts from last month. I wonder if Milous has some insight. Literally just picked up my D tonight and the rear DVD entertainment system was worth the wait; my kids loved it. We played a Blu-ray of Avatar, and it was a near home theater experience.

Re: 2014 Durango production

Looks like there are tons of North East Based members here

I am in Staten Island, NY, what is the friendliest dealer around these parts?

I have the treadlightly discount available, are any of those dealers doing better then that discount?

Family dealer I used in Southold, Long Island, Mullen Motors was very service oriented and friendly. You might be able to get a better deal elsewhere, like Koons I hear, but in terms of service it was a pleasure dealing with Mullen Motors. However ~100 miles from Staten Island so not sure if that's too far.

Southern NJ is hardly considered northeastern, but I went out of state (down to MD) for our Durango.

With an affiliate number (through my employer) I got about 4-4.5% under invoice. Koons (in VA) offered similar numbers, but differences in trade value and dealer fees made the Maryland dealership a far better option for us.

None of my local dealers showed any interest in either a) negotiating beyond the 1% under invoice maximum price under the affiliate program, or b) ordering a 2014 for us.

Re: 2014 Durango production

I second what Davewg says. I live in northern NJ and couldn't for the life of me get any real responses on pricing from the dealers I emailed within a 25 mile radius--and I contacted plenty. My impression is they all drink from the same Kool Aid--and don't like to give out pricing unless you're sitting on front of them (which made it difficult since I didn't have the time to personally visit dealers). The only genuine and helpful responses I got were from Century in Mt Airy MD and from Koons in Vienna, VA (Nader was my sales rep there & he was great). Both Koons & Century were great and offered between 4-5% below invoice (which no other dealer that I know of can beat). I ended up going with Koons, but you can't go wrong with either. And for that sort of deal, the trip down to VA and back will be worth it for me.

Absolutely! Like the others, I contacted around a dozen dealers and personally visited 3. Century, by far, came through with the best deal and the negotiating process was far less stressful than any of my previous 6 or 7 new vehicle purchases. Try doing a search for "Century" on this forum and you'll find plenty of information... or send me a private message.

Re: 2014 Durango production

So what's the current time from ordering to delivery? Anyone know?

Also, it looks like if you want the technology package on the R/T, you have to get Nappa Leather group now. Hadn't planned on getting that, but no choice now. For an extra $995 though, it appears worth it in all honesty. Probably use that as a negotiating point when ordering.

Also, anyone know if I'm still able to get them to come down below what the employee pricing is? I know they usually get a kickback from the manufacturer for employee pricing purchases, but anyone had any luck in getting them to come down even further and still using the employee control number?

Where are you located?

I have the R/T with tech and nappa, it's worth it, they're great options!

Michigan. Definitely want the tech package. Hadn't planned on the Nappa, but wife is getting spoiled now I guess.

I think general experience has been 4-6 weeks.

I worked a deal with a control number (through my employer we have "affiliate/supplier" pricing) of between 4%-5% under invoice. The way I interpret the fine print on the employer pricing, the most they can charge under the program is 1% under invoice, but I think with some effort you can do better.

My experience, other than with the dealer (Century in Mount Airy, MD) I wound up using) is that most stick to the 1%.

Thought employee pricing was up to 5% under invoice on Chryslers?
