So, you order from dealer A and give them the deposit
Durango gets delivered to Dealer B
How do you pay Dealer A, who gets stuck with the bill from Chrysler?

It sounds like an accounting nightmare but what do I know... it can't hurt to run it past the dealer.

I send her my thanks and praise for her service. I'm sure you can't wait to see her back stateside.

It's actually my son-in-law that is the servicemember, but I'll pass along your kinds words. He flies off an aircraft carrier, the USS George Washington, based in Japan where they've been for the last 2 years. And yes I'm very excited to see them and my twin 2 year old grandsons. They'll be here in Missouri for a few days until they are off to Newport, RI.

dont know if this helps you. it looks more complicated then it actually is. Its just a bunch of plastic reuseable clips. I can get more pictures for you as well.

Wow, will this be the first time you've physically seen the boys? Enjoy every minute of time you have with them all! I served on a carrier myself and give her lots of credit as well. Raising twins while he was at sea must have been quite a handful.

I hope you're able to make something work with the Durango.

That does help. I guess what I can't figure out - do i really need the non subwoofer bin, or can I just remove the subwoofer and put in the mat that goes in the full bin.

What's beneath the subwoofer? Open to the spare tire area below, or plastic floor of the bin...

The parts aren't expensive - found what I think is the non subwoofer bin for about $100 online (for a 2013).

And Davewg, I'm with you. I would think that the people that want the dvd entertainment system, would want it because of having kids. Kids usually have friends, so seating become important. My daughter is in the same boat. She wants 7 passenger seating, not 6. For 2013 models, however, it seems like a lot of the vehicles on dealer lots with the rear entertainment have captains chairs. That remains a mystery to me for the reasons I just stated.
There is a much simpler solution than ordering from A and delivering to B.
Just order from B, you can find a dealer that will do everything for you over fax and wire transfers. I have bought several cars this way without a problem.......

IMMO: what about that 60/40 split for the second row that I've seen mentioned for the 2014? I have the same desire to get a bench 2d row and have a 4 year old still in a car seat. will accessing the third row be a problem if there's the 60/40 split if there's just one car seat? (I'm not even really sure what the 60/40 split means, but I assume it means that 60 or 40% of the seat folds down, but I could be wrong).

The last pseudo official information from Milous was that production for vehicles with the rear DVD would begin Sept 17th. That is subject to change of course....but I hope not. Another piece of my minivan literally fell off last week....

You can download the owner's manual for the 2014 here:
My Dodge: Dodge Owners Service Manuals - Dodge Cars, Minivans, SUVs

It says this about the 60/40 split rear seat's access to the 3rd row, on page 156-57, "Either side of the rear seat can be tumbled forward to allow passengers to easily access the third row seats"

As long as you only have one car seat it won't be a problem. 60/40 means that the seat folds down in two sections. One section is 60% of then bench (the middle seat and one of the outboard seats. ). The other 40% (other outboard seat) folds separately.

Re: 2014 Durango production

I also have a question about Limited vs. Citadel. What is the difference between the base Citadel and the Limited, if you add the Premium Group and the Safety/Security Group? And is my understanding correct that you can't add the Technology group to the Limited?

See the specifications PDF in the first post on the first page of this thread

2014 Durango - Features and Changes

It'll show the differences. That first post also shows the trim differences and the packages available for each trim. I believe the Tech package is Citadel only
