The 2014 Durango will launch a few months early, in May of 2013 vs the normal late-July time frame. New features and changes are expected to include refreshed fascias, a refreshed center-stack to accommodate the new 2nd generation 8.4" radio (with and without navigation), and the new 8-speed ZF transmission. Order banks are scheduled to open in April 2013. More information will be posted here on JG as it becomes available.
Let the countdown begin! I just recently decided to wait for the 2014 Durango.
329 days...til order.
Any news on the possibility of diesel, similar gas saving features to the 2013 Ram 1500, or the digital guages from the Dart? Wait, is that asking too much? So what if I want a diesel Durango with the 8-speed, active grill shutters, and auto stop/start? What would it get, 20/30?
I want the GC for myself and my wife wants a Durango, but was interested in rumors about the Grand Wagoneer. Now the question becomes, does she get the 2014 Durango or wait and see about the GW? I'd imagine the GW will be fairly more expensive.
I know this thread is already old news, but the more I think about my situation, the more I think having a diesel would be great. The vast majority of my 18,000 annual driving miles are city, however, my family is definitely planning on getting a travel trailer at some point in the next 3 years. That said, we don't require three rows, but it would be nice to have when we need the extra seating.
Back in January, Marchionne alluded to the possibility of a diesel Durango, but didn't commit. Then in June, he basically said the Durango was going to die in 4 years.
Anyway, thoughts on the possibility of the Durango getting the diesel in MY2014?
Thanks for the info. Disappointed, but not surprised. I suppose I can hope that there will be a diesel Grand Wagoneer (assuming I like the styling/price and assuming I can wait that long).
Same here, and let's hope Chrysler isn't stupid enough to price it higher than $42,000 at the base model; $52,000 completely maxed out (excluding SRT8).
