A nice choice that Stingray.

I ran into a C6 owner last week and I asked him what he thought of the new C7. Sadly after a few moments it became clear he had no idea what I was talking about. He thought it was an up level engine on the current gen (C6).

Yes, and as you grow older you'll find you agree on more and more stuff that you never thought you'd see eye to eye with your dad about.

I think with the chrome on the Citadel its going to look sharp.

My first car (about 28 years ago) was "Kalahari" beige with a little chrome trim, and I always thought it looked great.
The Jeep version is called Cashmere and it seems a more lustrous color with more depth. The chrome trim sets it off, and it looks very classy with a black interior. I don't prefer the Sandstone on a Durango but wouldn't mind Cashmere on a JGC. As many said, the Citadel chrome will help.

Actually the paint is the same, color code PFS for both, just a different name. Picked up my Sandstone Duranago today parked next to a Cashmere JGC and there was no difference. This color really works well with the chrome in my opinion.

What a buzzkill you are . Much easier to like and admire those on this forum who respect each other's choices. I respect your right NOT to like Sandstone OR the Durango, but your tone is off putting, IMHO.

Perhaps there is a Viper in your future after you break in your Durango!

I like interesting turns of phrase. Haven't heard "off putting" in a while. Really quite top drawer.

I'll take top drawer as a compliment (and a phrase I haven't had the pleasure of using or enjoying in awhile)....old school fits too, and sadly gives away my advanced age.

Ha, tried to sit in a Viper at the dealer yesterday. After a minute of trying to get my legs in, my head hit the roof and I had about an inch of visibility. The seat was about half as wide as I am. Being 6'4" 250lbs my options are quite limited.
