I wish he said what the repair was. Just out of curiosity. My last car was a Nissan, and I was really mean to it. Never took it in for one tune up and I did oil changes every 10-15k miles out of being lazy and the car driving fine. I got rid of it at 82k miles w/o ever having had a problem and never once seeing the engine light or any light for that matter. The car always drove like the day I got it. Before my last Nissan which was an Altima, I had a 350z also never had issues, but I took better care of it. Not by much though. And before that I had two explorers, one sport and one Eddie Bauer. The trucks never held up well to my young reckless driving. I decided to go back to a truck I'll hang on to, and get something sporty as a second "weekend" car. I'm happy to get back in a truck, been having tons of fun. Going from a 350z to an Altima was the worst idea ever. I thought It'd be kind on gas and that it was the mature car to get. I decided maturity and good gas mileage are over rated.
I definitely won't treat my Durango like that though. 1 because I love the thing and 2 because I don't think it could handle the abuse as well...
