Re: 2017 Durango - Features and Changes

Thanks for the info. My only gripe for the Durango is the "knob shifter". I love my shifter in my '14 GC, despite others having issues with it. The ability to drop it into Sport mode with a flick of my wrist really makes the Durango a deal-breaker for me. Anyone else agree?

Same here howiestt,

Just ordered a 2017 RT - because my 2015 Overland/Hemi just doesn't have enough seats

I had given some thought to U-bolting a lawn chair in the back though!!

Any chance they ditch the knob shifter for 2017?

That sux. Ifeel it weren't for the knob, I'd have a Durango by now. It sounds stupid, but I really don't want to give up my "click to shift" into Sport mode on my Grand Cherokee- despite the lack of 3rd row and extra storage room.

Re: 2017 Durango - Features and Changes

Thank you for such valuable information.
Trying hard to decide between an Explorer sport and an RT for the family.

Couple of questions for some of the details already posted:

Upgraded interior on the RT, any idea what that means.

New blacktop wheels, any insight as to what they will look like.

Finally about the colors, i think i found the Rhino color on another Jeep vehicule but what about the Diamond black crystal, black is black so what might it be like ?

Cant wait to see the order guide and all options. A sneak peek would be great

Re: 2017 Durango - Features and Changes

Not sure if you've driven the Ford but I recently took a hard look at the Explorer and, for me, build quality, comfort, Sync3, none of it even came close to a Durango. Driving impression was mediocre at best. That, and I think it's more money though not by much.
