which was exactly what I mentioned when I started this thread. My question was if anyone had any additional insight into what justified this $1,410.00 difference between the two.

So far the only additional differences (not already mentioned by me in the beginning) appear to be the larger disc brakes...

Citadel does not have the HP bump.

Differences equate to
- Dual exhaust
- Ventilated seats with Nappa leather
- Eight way power passenger seat (Limited passenger seat recline is manual to facilitate the fold flat feature)
- Heavy duty brakes
- Additional chrome trim
-

See post one of this thread
2014 Durango - Features and Changes which also has a PDF that shows the feature availability.

Re: citadel vs limited

I assume higher resale as well.

I've almost concluded that if you load up the Limited you should just get the Citadel. Otherwise the Limited is a great value if you don't check all the packages.

Re: citadel vs limited

One last Citadel only item no one mentioned yet and probably where the $1,410 price difference comes in.... the steering wheel leather is perforated on the sides.

Kidding aside I think the ventilated seats are worth their weight in gold when it's hot & sticky outside, love this feature.

And with those perforations your hands warm up faster when heated steering wheel is activated. Plus you get the Citadel chrome badge.

I noticed that both the website and the brochure show the Citadel with 295hp like the Rallye, but the PDF in post 1 and other spec sheets do not. Can anyone confirm?

Good catch, that's a recent change in the litature. Not sure if it's true or not. My engine code from my build sheet is ERB. I'd suppose if they have a different engine code for the non Rallye/Citadel V6 engines then it could be true. I'd never notice a 5HP difference but I am intrigued.

That's what I thought as it has the same dual exhaust as the Rallye. I'm sure that is where the 5hp bump is from as I'm sure the Rallye doesn't have a different intake.

Makes sense as it is a true dual exhaust from each exhaust manifold not just a split pipe.
