I always like having a hide-a-key, saved me on a few occasions. Previously I've always hidden them deep somewhere in the undercarriage. This time I've decided to pull the batteries from the spare FOB and hide them in the car since I can open the door locks from my iPhone. Gives me piece of mind knowing I'll never be stuck, unless I lose my phone too :D I plan on buying a 3rd fob to keep in the house.

Another great idea.
What do the extra fobs run? Does the iPhone unlocking come only if one keeps the UConnect Access subscription?
Not sure yet but I'd guess around $150, then you gotta take all 3 fobs to the dealer and have them reprogrammed.

Ya, the uConnect app only works if you subscribe to their service.

I hid a key after the JGC locked it self with a fob inside. It's not supposed to do this but it did! Taking the battery out will not allow the remote to open locks ect. but a fob with no/dead battery can still be used to start the veh buy using the rounded end to push the start button due to RFID chip in the fob.
