Re: Durango citadel engine fire

Kind of looks like the Hemi engine cover in this version.

Looks like it starts in the passenger side by the fire wall

Re: Durango citadel engine fire

It's a "HEMI". You can tell from the air intake in front of the motor.

Re: Durango citadel engine fire

actually if it's a HEMI that is a very good thing.

chrysler has sold a gillion HEMIs and the motor has barely changed except for things like cylinder deactivation. hopefully it is therefore an isolated incident.

the new V6 is conversely brand spaking new.

Re: Durango citadel engine fire

You never know maybe it was staged. I find it had to believe that with all the emergency staff around, no one had a fire extinguisher! You would have thought someone would have even went into a nearby building to get one from there.

Re: Durango citadel engine fire

you can't use any old fire extinguisher. they are rated for different kinds of fire. i think they did the right thing, let the fire department put the right stuff on it, especially with a crowd of people.

Re: Durango citadel engine fire

"Where has the Durango been for the last two years? It's been working out, more muscle, less fat, touring those fancy named German roads, towing floats in parades and catching on fire.... no wait, uhm.....quick CUT!!! Someone call the fire department!!!!"
