iPhone Text Message Issue

So my wife's Durango has quit receiving her text messages from her iPhone 5s

We're on 13.48.3 (and have been since its release last month), but this issue cropped up in the last week or so.

I've deleted and re-paired the phone to the vehicle (and did a full power off of the truck in between), and the "Show Notifications" option is on in her settings.

The only real change? Apple swapped out her phone because of issues we had with her last 5s (she had zero reception in parts of the house when all other phones in the same spot were fine).

Any other thoughts as what to try to correct the problem? I could, I suppose I could reinstall 13.48.3 if anyone thought that would make a difference.

Thanks.

Sounds like you did everything correctly to try and trouble shoot the new phone. However, the replacement phone is a remanufactured phone so it's possible they missed something re-building it. Might try another car if you can and/or video the results to prove to the Apple store it's not working is my only suggestion.

Update: forgot to mention to try the Reset, Settings/General/Reset. Try the Reset Network settings first then Reset All. Kind of a pain but worth a shot.

Try deleting all the text messages on the phone. Also since this is a replacement phone verify that on the Settinga/Bluetooth/Uconnect/Show Notifications is enabled - do this first, delete messages second

Thanks, guys.

Show notifications was the first thing I checked. It was off, but enabling it didn't change the behavior.

I'll try the settings reset next and see if that makes a difference.

Not sure why but the number of text messages on the phone can cause this. New jeep didn't work until I deleted all of my text messages. Not the best thing but it seemed to fix it for me. As I said before make that your last thing to try

I've got a somewhat related question. For me, my Android phone works fine, except that when i try to send a text through the Durango it doesn't send. It says sent on the Durango screen and the text is visible on my phone, but I've noticed that my phone doesn't actually send it until i type out a new message (physically on my phone) and it'll then send both messages. Kind of like the Durango texts are in a queue and don't go out until i use my phone to send a new message.
