I order long before the rebate was announced but it was available when I picked it up the other day so statistically, I don't count towards that 3000 number.

This is the only place to go for good and plentiful Durango information, bar NONE!

Many thanks for all that you do!

I will certainly do my part! I've been posting for about a year...lurking for a bit longer. I found this forum ever since starting to do research on crossovers almost exactly a year ago. I heard rumors on the Grand Wagoneer and this place was and is THE forum to get reasonable and early info on upcoming products...and continues to be an invaluable resource for owners. Lurking on the WK2 forums was a fantastic experience to get a preview of the Durango refresh. Nothing else out there comes close!

Now if JNAP could just see fit to squeeze a few durangos out the door this week with the rear DVD.....

You need a DVD dance to appease the Gods.

I found this site too when we first drove a Durango and I wanted to see what the support community was like. This site was one of the things that swayed me from the Acadia.

Indeed. I would check in on Acadiaforum.net from time to time as that seemed to be the most active Acadia community. That place is like a ghost Town compared to here. Not even remotely comparable.

Agreed - not even close. Same with some of the other Dodge focused forums. Not nearly the level of activity, or, ahem, inside information available.

This is the first forum I've "donated" to to become a premium member, and with good reason.

This forum is definitely the best for new 2014 Durango owners and those looking to make a Durango purchase. Given the quality and information of the posts so far and other value added services (ie MOTS), this site will continue to be an invaluable resource for Durango drivers going forward imo.

If I were Chrysler/Dodge management I would have their customer service also contributing to this forum with helpful information (not ads). I see Ford customer service with helpful outreach on a number of other forums creating a "valuable community ecosystem" for their products.
Also, I think more of the Durango community would be posting here if not for the Jeep Garage title unfortunately. It may be a silly issue, but I believe other users congregate to sites where they believe they are the "primary focus" whilst the actual content is the key.

Totally agree, when searching for a Durango forum I googled Dodge Durango Forum and tried to find the most active dedicated one. I started posting in one of them until a noticed a post mentioning Jeep Garage and checked it out.

Not sure how to combat that. Perhaps a mini sub site would work with different Headers.

Thanks for the votes but that's not for me, just something I'm not comfortable with.

True - single brand forums, or single model forums *tend* to do better due to focus as you say.

That said, I think a lot of it has to do with the owner pool. Overall, as a brand, I think Jeep has a larger core of those dedicated to the brand. That dedication leads to the feeling of "community" which the internet helps foster.

For Jeep this is particularly applicable because the brand is focused on a set of core values - off roading, history, singular focus, "trail rated", etc.

You'll see similar traffic at similar brands, or sub-brands (e.g. BMW M forums, MB AMG, VW, Audi) where there is a passionate, focused group of enthusiast owners.

It's possible that this was part of Chrysler's decision to split off Ram from Dodge. Separate the brand. It is another group of likely passionate, focused owners that feel a sense of community. Now you can have a site for "Ram" and everyone knows what its for.

The Durango, with its lower sales volume compared to Jeep, and, I would assume, with a greater percentage of owners who are "cars as appliance" just doesn't generate the the traffic (or need?) for a similarly focused internet community. Those of us here are the small minority of an already relatively small set of buyers.

It's the same reason sites like Acadiaforums.net also lack traffic.

I found this site in a similar fashion - a hard search of the internet until I found the WD forum, which was primarily because I was looking for 2014 information when we first started our search.

I don't know how to combat it either, at least not without rebranding the site which would undermine its current visibility on the internet as a Jeep-centric forum.

I for one am thankful for the WD forum here, and wish we had a site similar to wk2jeeps and all of the good information/detail there.
