Slap a better interior in it, change the grill, put in a 6.1 or 6.4 hemi as well as maybe a really really big flippin diesel, and call it a Grand Wagoneer.

A Maserati V8 wouldn't be too excessive would it?

Stop by, get to know the sales types and more importantly the sales manager.
Be honest, tell them you are currently just nosing around and don't waste their time if they are busy.

Can come in handy if you go to order one and they have one available but with a few more expensive options than you wanted. Knowing the sales manager on first name basis might get you an instant break on the available vehicle over waiting for one on order.

Seen two around, externally look a bit more balanced and less pugnosed than the Grand Cherokee--just bigger than I need by far.

I hope they refurbish that interior so you can jazz it up like an Overland or Summit even if it is a special package--its too good a truck for the interior in my non humble opinion, and Jeep doesn't seem to have trouble pushing Overlands and Summits in the $50K range.

It worked for Isuzu for a while.

I'm the only one in Southern Indiana already DRIVING a 2014 Durango. Local dealer not interested in trying to order one for me when order banks originally opened. Gave them a chance, but they couldn't match the price I got. I'd only be driving by to gloat.....but I might go introduce myself to the Service Manager. I'll likely need to seek his help eventually with some minor issues.

Re: New Durango Marketing TV Spots

Will was hired to do around 6 spots (write/direct/edit) and ended up shooting 70. He wasn't paid for it as it was a cross promotion for the film and dodge is paying for the air time. Most of the spots will never see the light of day as Dodge thought some were too racy...

Some of us would enjoy seeing that B-roll.

Re: New Durango Marketing TV Spots

Good article on the impact of the Ron Burgandy campaign. The world has noticed....

How Chrysler's Francois Scored Marketing Gold In Will Ferrell - Forbes

As the article states,
"Maybe itíll even help the overhauled Durango finally come out of the shadows of Chryslerís better-known and higher-volume SUVs such as the Jeep Grand Cherokee."

I think most of us bought before the ads. Love the ads and I want the durango to sick around, so it needs good sales numbers, but I have mixed feelings about it. I also like being the only but on the road with it. I was so annoyed when I got the 350Z in 2003, people loved it and it got alt of looks. By 2004 everyone had them and it lost some of its luster. Still fun as hell to drive though.
