Re: New Stiched Dash for Durango

Everyone has an opinion and you're certainly entitled to yours. My dad used to say you could give some folks a bar of gold and they'd complaint that it's too heavy to carry. My opinion is that it's looks great and I'm glad that Dodge is constantly making improvements.

Re: New Stiched Dash for Durango

Having said that, I still want the R/T which has absolutely no bling on the outside.

Well this bar of "gold" is too heavy for me. Pops was right.

Re: New Stiched Dash for Durango

Good for Dodge for stepping it up. I'm assuming the R/T package gets the leather interior as well? Now they just need to up the horse power to at least match the Ram 1500(395). I now there's an SRT package coming but it'll be $$$.

Re: New Stiched Dash for Durango

I didn't see the leather dash option for the R/T. It's a shame, that dash adds a lot to the vehicle, the dash was always the week part of the interior in my mind..

Me too. Felt likes miles of cheap plastic. Like a rented mini van.

New Stiched Dash for Durango

Then what's the hand wrapped, red accent stitched instrument panel? Why that and not the dash lol

Correct. If you read the Durango fact sheet that was released on FCAmedia on September 1, this is how they describe the new dash in the Citadel;

'Hand-wrapped instrument panel features soft-touch surface with silver accent"

And this is how they describe the dash in the R/T;

"Available new options on Durango R/T for 2017 include a new hand-wrapped soft-touch instrument panel with red accent stitching for an upgraded look"

They are described the same way so I'm assuming it will look the same as the one in the video except with red stitching. Not sure if it's leather but they don't distinguish between the two as far as materials are concerned.

Re: New Stiched Dash for Durango

It's a little confusing because they call it an option but I believe it's just going to be an automatic change at some point. Leather sets are already standard equipment in an R/T so it's hard to see that they are going to offer the upgraded dash as an option unless it's part of some sort of interior upgrade package. I guess we'll have to wait and see how that happens.

Re: New Stiched Dash for Durango

My 17 was built 2 nights ago and is being shipped. I think mine will have the old boring dash cover, bummer.
