Ok D pet owners, whatdaya got?

We have two dogs, one of which gets carsick from time to time or otherwise drools heavily when in the car. Needless to say, we don't want the new leather seats to get all messed up. What kind of car seat and/or pet barriers have you found that work for the durango?

Looking for something that's waterproof and provides good coverage as the moving blanket we currently use in the sedan I own looks ok, but in reality provides very little protection from dog hair.

Probably looking to put it in the 2nd row (have bench seats instead of captains chairs in our D) as the 3rd row will only make the coonhound even more carsick.

I just broke down my setup from when I transported my dog this morning otherwise if take a picture. I purchased seat covers that I put on the captains chairs in the middle, they have headrest covers too. I didn't get the center console so my dog could fit better in the center. I purchased a "husband" pillow back, one of those pillows with arms. I stuff that between the seats to make it even. I then take large pillow cases and put them over the drive and passenger backs. Then I use a car dog hammock and this covers anything my dog can throw at me. I also treat the leather on the doors so they won't stain if he rests his head on the leather. He is a big guy almost 6 feet on his hind legs. I have used this method to put him In the back row as well, just move everything I mentioned back a row.

Took longer to write than setup. Pillow cases slip on over seat backs. Seat covers slip on over seat backs and then bungie around seat bottoms. Pillow between seats push in. Then the hammock just clips around each head rest. After the hammock is adjusted for your first ride, you never have to do it again, and treating the leather you only need to do once in a while. Setup takes under 3 minutes, but protects really well.

The other option is to put the back row down and get a cargo mat that covers everything. Then get a cargo area pet partition. Something like this, Heininger 3048 PortablePET Pet Partition
http://amzn.com/B001XCBCQK , there are apt of options for barriers.
