Re: Road Magnet springs installed

Hey XLR8R...I had that white RT that I lowered the rear on. Anyways I sold it about 6 months ago but am thinking of ordering a new my15 RT because of all the changes and especially now that there is nappa red leather option! My question to you is about the tire size after you lowered the whole truck. You are saying go to a 275 but do you think staying with a 285 width but going down in aspect to a 35 instead of the 40 would be better? That would be an inch lower overall diameter. I had the 285/40/22 on my D and loved it but want the road magnets like you did but dont want any rubbing issues. I will be towing our 5000lb boat with it too, any issues for you on towing with these new springs? thanks man, your ride is amazing! We miss our D.

Re: Road Magnet springs installed

Question I know maybe I should do a little more research but did you keep the stock shocks and struts I got a buddy of mine wanting to do a drop on srt8 replicas what would be a safe tire size so the wheels won't rub against the fenders? Thanks in advance

hey bro...that should work, I think an inch shorter tire would be perfect

the red nappa sounds bad ass...making me want to up-trade too ...but Ill prolly wait a few years and see whats next...or upgrade to an SRT...still loving my '13 for now
hope u get it!!

yes all stock components stay - just a pure spring swap

I would try to stay at stock tire height/diameter at minimum, but ideally a but shorter if u can to avoid front rub on dips, occasionally my front tires rub the inner fender insulation, and/or the plastic piece under the front lip (not the lip itself luckily) sometimes scrapes the ground...neither are too serious tho

Re: Road Magnet springs installed

1" shorter tire only drops the D 1/2" and t the eye there is more room in the wheel well almost looking like its a bit higher. Yes the overall D will be lower but what the eye see will be higher.

Hey xlr8r, how are you liking the springs now after you have had them on for awhile?
