Temp normal

to my durango back from service and seems to be running hot. Trans 195. Engine 220. Also now auto dim headlights and high pitched sound when ignition is in run but not when in acc.

Re: Temp normal

I have the V6 and my temps are about 197 for both engine and tranny once warmed up fully, usually takes 20 miles. In stop and go traffic they climb a little higher, the most I've ever seen is 208 for engine oil and 202 for the tranny.

Thanks. Any v8s out there. How about the high pitched noise. I think the service advisor is going to think I am nuts

V8 here. Transmission about 195 like you, but engine is around 200-205. 220 is a little too hot, imo. Especially with the heavy duty engine cooler. No high pitch noise yet that I've noticed.
