Thanks davewg - One concern I have is that when I punch in the last 8 of my VIN..it says I qualify for the following update. I have a 2014 Durango, not a 2014 Jeep. Afraid to put the wrong software on the car.

No worries, says the same for me. It's the correct software.

Yep. The recent TSB release on the upgrade certified that it was for WK2 (JGC) and WD (Durango).

Update away...

Great - thanks guys. One final question...the USB stick I have has 4GB of room but it has other files on there. Will this pose an issue?

Yes, most likely. It should only have the one iso file on it.

Yes, agreed. The instructions state the only file on the USB stick should be the .iso update file.

You could temporarily copy the files off the USB stick onto a computer, place the .iso on it for the update, and then move back the original set of files.

Re: Things to check on delivery

Make sure and check the headliner!

I rejected a R/T the dealer brought in for my yesterday due to a headliner that was not attached properly. In the rear (by the rear lights) there was at least a 1/2 inch gap between the headliner and the roof of the car. In the middle, between one of the AC vents and the light you could hear a squeaking when lightly pressing against the headliner as well. The only thing that prompted me to check this was the horror stories I have read on other forums regarding a rattling/squeaking problem, apparently this is extremely difficult to diagnose and fix.

Also, make sure that the plastic protector on the exhaust tip is removed, my neighbor just bought a D and they didn't remove it. The plastic is now fused to the exhaust tip.

Cannot wait to get my D, just going to have to wait a little longer now.

Re: Things to check on delivery

Used the check list, thank you for it, found bubble on front passenger door and also two areas on the front passenger and back passenger door one each, these areas appeared to have been wiped with a rag when it came out of the factory painting, they are hard to see but when the light hits them they are very noticeable. Had also found the driver side rear door trim had been installed incorrectly causing it to roll on. The dealership replaced the trim and is having the doors repainted, sad though that when they were changing the rear driver side door trim they scratched the drivers door and now are going to repaint that one also.
Used the rest of the check sheet and found no other issue other then the tire pressures. Now it seems my transmission is acting up.

Anyway thanks for the list.

I had a gap in the rear tailgate near the top of the rear windshield. Noticed it looking out the rear view mirror. Saw that it was lopsided, but wasn't the headliner since when I went back there to check (opening the tailgate), I couldn't find it. Turns out that it was at the top of the window and I didn't see it when back there because the tailgate was open . Yeah, I'm an idiot. Anyway, just banged on it a little bit and it snapped into place. Everything's good now.

Just a PSA for new deliveries: Look at the paint very very closely. JNAP closed down over Xmas vacation for a week and during that week, the paint shop was torn down and reconfigured with new equipment. As is often the case, the first batch coming through the paint shop (early January in this case) may have issues while they get the kinks worked out. What may be "acceptable" to them, may not be for you so check it closely in a well lit area before accepting to avoid mkling's issues.
