Re: WeatherTech floor liners - they need more requests

I tossed Weathertechs in mine.

Seem to fit pretty nicely for the most part. the only area of misalignment is, I have the opposite issue as Laurel, my passenger side fit is slightly off.

I have a Bench as opposed to the captains chairs in the second row, so the 3rd row covers work nicely.

Do I recall correctly that your interior is Black and Tan? It seems to me you're set on TAN mats. Does that scheme look great? Is there a decent match between the seat color and the mat color?

Finally, for you and others who have tan mats, do they stain easily?

Thank you!

This is what concerns me--wondering if I'll get a set that was made correctly or one that wasn't. Seems to be luck of the draw, huh? Did you ever call Weathertech and complain? Laurel--how about you--I don't recall you mentioning anything other than perhaps a conversation you had with them about the cargo liner fit. Any resolution on your driver's mat fit whatsoever?

Curious, did you order the WeatherBeater floor liners, or the X-act Contours?

I did read some good things about the x-acts for the Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I do prefer a liner that is not quite has rigid / hard plastic. I'm thinking of ordering the X-acts...

I have a black interior, so color if wanted black. I had purchased the mopar slush mats for a weekend trip because my dealer had them (they were only $85) and I hadn't purchased the weathertechs yet. I had every intention of ordering weathertechs, but after putting in the Mopars and driving around, I realized I really liked them. The front mats say Durango which I like, and the fit is great along with a nice non smelling rubber. They don't go up on the side walls as much as the techs, but I don't see that as being an issue for me. Only issue is Mopar only makes a 3rd row option for the bench. So I may have to mix it up back there, but it will rarely be used so I'm not overly concerned. The Mopars also do not go over the hump in the second row, again, not an issue for me as people will not be climbing to the back so much. And I'd probably use the lever anyway.

Yes, I have black/tan interior and the weathertech tan mats have a great match. They should not stain and clean up easily.

I tried the weatherbeater and would not recommend them. If you want black I'd get the x-acts. For the second row Husky only has one mat and if you have captain chairs there's a trim line you are supposed to use scissors to trim off a little piece in the middle to fit around the console. Think I'd go weather tech for 2nd row.

Thanks...i'm going to give the x-acts a shot.

I'll post pics / thoughts once I get them in. No idea how long it takes them to ship...

At this point I'd have to say that the left edge of my driver's mat perhaps has settled into place a bit, or I've just gotten used to it. Doesn't really show, as it is the same color as the carpet. I thought I might catch my shoe, but hasn't happened at all. My front mats actually need to be cleaned, so guess the means they are doing their job. Between rain, construction ands crunched up fall leaves, the mats don't look brand new anymore. Like how easily they clean up. Had someone comment on the good fit and practicality of the continuous second row mat with the captain's chairs configuration. Spoken like a true Mom.... And, while I still don't think my cargo mat is a perfect fit, I have already made good use of it more than once, and I think it will end up serving its intended purpose for my needs.

I'll take a shot of mine here and post it up.

It's not bad, and I suspect that being out of the box and exposed to the heat from the footwells will help it settle in a bit more. That being said, I don't see how these are "laser fit" as my passenger side one does quite hit the side wall flush (and I don't think it will fully line up no matter how much it rests/heats up).

I will reach out to WeatherTech and ask them if this is expected or not and let you know what I find out.

I did not on my invoice that at no point do any of the mats say "2014 Dodge Durango". Most say Jeep Grand Cherokee or 2011-2012 Dodge Durango.

Well, they are here and I installed 'em. I think they're keepers.

Front mats
2nd Row Mat

Likes: Good fit, protects like a tray / liner (has side walls, etc.) but the material is softer flexible rubber with a matte finish (not shiny)... not a hard rigid plastic. This is what I was looking for.

Dislike: the front mats go up and over the side wall and cover a portion of the steel "Dodge" plaque on the upper door sill. (See pics). This is how all of their X-Act mats are designed. Function over form.

The second row mat is a single piece covers the entire floor, including the hump between the two footwells for complete protection.

Note 1: 3rd row mat is not available. (Come to think of it...does anyone offer a third row mat that fits with captains chairs?)

Note 2: The husky's are only offered in black. Lucky for me that's the color I wanted.

Now I need to find a 3rd row mat, and a solution for the rear cargo liner. (Haven't decided if I want behind 3rd row only, or behind 2nd and 3rd rows...I use both configurations regularly...

I'm sorry, I got distracted admiring your pedal covers. What did you say?? In all seriousness, your new mats look like they will do the job well for which they were intended. Hope someone comes up with a decent and functional third row mat suggestion.

JCWhitney to the rescue. I just ordered this mat for my third row.

They do give the specific option for 2nd row buckets vs. the bench, so I'm hopeful it'll be a good fit. Available in lots of colors....of course I'll let y'all know how it pans out. These mats have a repeating pattern of round "wells" that I probably would not want up front or even in the second row....but for a third row will work ..I think.
