Wheel wells

What does the material in your wheel wells look like? Can you snap a pic and share?

I'll get a pic later but it's a flexible fibrous material, not hard plastic like I'm used to. Searching around it appears Toyota has been using this material for years and helps with sound insulation.

Re: Wheel wells

I don't care for that material. I use to like to wipe down and shine the wheel wells on previous vehicles.
But if it lessens road noise I guess thats a plus and now I have less to clean.

Re: Wheel wells

We noticed the unusual material also. Didn't know it would help with road noise, but that is a plus. We gave ours EVERY opportunity to absorb water those first two days, but the fabric didn't appear to change at all.

Re: Wheel wells

they are the same liners used in the 11+ wk2 Jeep and Rango. They cut down on road noise and are very easy to clean IMHO. They will retain a little water after washing or rain...but just let them drain a bit an dthye are good.
