Cooper Discoverer AT3

Hey Gents,

Disclaimer:
I've done some pretty extensive research on wheel size, tire brand, and tire size already but haven't quite found a specific answer to what I'm trying to confirm...if it exists please point me in the right direction.

Situation:
I currently have a 2011 JGC Limited (dark charcoal) with stock 18" wheels and appropriate tires as well as the select-trac QTII. I -like many others- am looking to bump up to a set of 20" stock overland wheels (black onyx chrome finish), no problem there obviously. I have read several/a ton of threads that have said bumping up to the tire size 275/55/20 is do-able on the JGC's, albeit a tight fit, the are no issues with rubbing and the like.
That said, I would really like to fit a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3's in this tire size (275/55/20). However, when I was at the shop the staff was incredible unhelpful and were not willing to hear me out when I explained that it has been done...this I told them to stuff it and left -ha

Question:
I would greatly appreciate it if anyone with a JGC Limited with the Quadra-Trac II system and 20" OEM wheels could confirm that indeed this fits the Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires size 275/55/20 without issues. Pictures would be outstanding.

I realize these details have been articulated many times throughout the forum, however I have not seen a consolidated confirmation of all these specific details and want to be 100% certain the next time I take to a shop if possible. If I missed a thread please point it out!

Much appreciated.

This does in fact work, albeit a tight fit, but works and looks excellent. Pics after the bath.

Re: Cooper Discoverer AT3

AT3 is a good choice. I am running the Zeon LTZ in 275/55/20 and love the fit and look.

Looks great! I love my AT3s. They do much better in mud than all the other ATs I've used in the past and they've gotten me into some very remote places in the state.

Nice. Yea Im in D.C. / VA so we'll see how this winter goes. They were a little rougher ride than I anticipated, but kinda reminds you you're driving a jeep.

Just ordered some spacers, looking forward to those!

Re: Cooper Discoverer AT3

JSteaad82,
I have a 2013 JGC with 20" wheels with factory fortera's, that do not do well on our 1 mile gravel driveway. Haven't popped em yet but slow leaks are numerous because of low profile 20" wheel and less sidewall strength on these factory tires I'm guessing. Have been looking for a more aggressive tire and not much avail. but I do like the cooper zeon LTZ. You haven't had any trouble with yours at all? I noticed you said you were going to put in spacers ?

That does look great!

I have the AT3s on my WJ and I will replace them with the same tire when it is time. They are excellent in snow (8" inches last winter was no problem) and great in the wet.

Re: Cooper Discoverer AT3

Zeon LTZ no issues. Have about 33k on them mostly highway and have about 6/32 left tread. No rubbing control arm bolt either.

Have you considered the new Nitto Terra Grappler G2? A great AT tire, awesome in the snow, quiet ride, 50k mile warranty and reasonably priced!
