I have a 2014 JGC Limited with the optional 20"x8" Overland rims as well as the optional tow package that includes a full size spare. The installed tires are P265/50R20 and the spare is P245/65R18. Is the R18 the correct full size spare that comes with the installed 20" tires/rims? The sales person indicated this is the case, and supposedly called someone to confirm. I'd like to get other Jeep owners' input who have the same options. Thanks!

Actually the stock 20" do fit in the spare tire well. But you need to reverse the rim to permit the lid to close. This requires a longer spare tire hold down bolt and you need to warp the jack and store it under the tire. It works out nice!

I want to fit a 265/50r 20 in the spare tire area. I'm not sure what you mean by reversing the trim. Do you have pics of how to do that or an explanation or how it's done? Also what do you mean by "warp" the jack? And where did you get a longer spare tire hold down bolt?
I have a 2014 Limited.
Thank you,
HT

Here is a pic of the stock wheel and tire in the spare of my GC. Lid closes and everything looks like factory.

Thank you for the picture and explaination. I notice you have a 2013. I wonder if the spare tire area is the same size on a 2014. I've heard conflicting versions of whether or not a full size spare will fit with the lid closed and latched. By full size I mean exactly the same size (265/50r 20) as your running on the other 4 wheels. Some say the tire will fit but the lid will not close and the storage bins need to be removed. I was surprised to see you still have the bins in yours.
I want to buy a wheel and install a 265/50r 20 tire and use it as a spare. Doesn't matter if the wheel doesn't match the others as it would only be used long enough to get me to a repair shop.
Is the spare in your picture a 265/50r 20?

Only one way to find out on your 2014. I jacked up a front wheel and removed it and then removed the stock spare and placed the front wheel (face up) in the spare location and found that the lid closed. If it works on a 2013, hopefully you will find out if it fits in the 2014 and post what you see.
