Run Flat Tires

Has anybody ever used run flat tires on a Grand Cherokee? I have them on my 325i. They're not the best riding tire but with a decent sidewall and the WK2 somewhst soft suspension, it might be a real weight saver.

Re: Run Flat Tires

They came stock on the SRT's but there is a reason people dont run them. They are just not very good. Maybe another brand other than goodyear might be better. I run Nitto 420's but it all depends what kind of tire your looking for.

Re: Run Flat Tires

Had them on my 07 GC SRT8 and they gave a harsh ride. Also many complaints of the inner edge sidewall area excessive wear like to the point the belt was showing. I don't think they would weight any less either since thay have a thicker sidewall.

I have no wear issues on my Beemer, but it's quite a bit lighter than the GC and the alignment is perfect. The weight savings comes from not having to carry a spare wheel/tire
