Re: Tire help - 20x9 / 20x10 for a 2wd WK

the Nittos are the best tires Ive had on the jeep.....

The Proxes ST2's on my Durango are nice too. Not driven in the rain or snow yet with them....So I can comment. They are quiet on the highway and handle well...but I would guess they are more expensive than the Nittos...and not available in the stock SRt size.

Re: Tire help - 20x9 / 20x10 for a 2wd WK

I'm contempting on buying the Nitto 420S in either 275/45 or 265/50 and I want to see how they fill in the wheel well on your Jeep. I'll have the same size all around. I don't have staggered wheels.

Re: Tire help - 20x9 / 20x10 for a 2wd WK

So far so good Paul...

My first impression is WOW! I had to brake the pads/rotors in so there was some serious braking and idk if it was the tires or the combo but the stopping power is amazing. No vibrations from 65-10 50-10 and 40-10...seem to have seated very nicely. I love the look of the nittos and the ride is superb. With the smaller size 285/40 and 255/45 is a great combo and the tires feel more nimble and plant very amazingly in swift turns. I am a happy camper!! I will keep everyone updated on the brake dust, feel and performance of the rotor/pad combo...

And the new rotor setup

Re: Tire help - 20x9 / 20x10 for a 2wd WK

No prob...I will keep updating this thread...but I put 80 miles on the highway today and it was an absolute DREAM to drive. So far so good...and the tread looks so good. Plus the smaller size tire with these wheels has a much better feel. The really have a much more nimble feel
