Re: What offset wheels and size of tire for the OME lift?
I have 255/75/17 BFG KM1 on stock wheels and no spacers but.......you will have to cut the bolt and they will only rub the back side of the steel frame at full lock (literally the last turn of the wheel).
I never turn my steering wheel at full lock with rub or no rub because I don't like to stress the power steering pump.
Now, when you put offset on those tires with Pintlers, you're going to hit the pinch weld. The further out you bring the tire, the more pinch you'll hit.
The other size is 265/70/17. Offset with Pintlers and you'll hit the pinch (with MT's for sure).
You can go as much as 285/70/17. That's the route I'm going next if I decide to put that much money in to my 3.7. Then folding the pinch will definately be needed along with some backspacing ( I hate wheel spacers but really want 285/70/17 KM2).
I know that Omelet had 285/70/17 with a 1/4" spacer and Moabs that give additional backspacing. I do not recall him having problems. I think he has the same tires. I know he has the same size for sure.
