Wheel Locks

Anyone use them? I work in a bad part of the city and dont want the local hood rats stealing my rims and leaving me sitting on milk crates. I have heard good things about the gorilla locks. Any other suggestions? And yes I know if they want the rims bad enough they'll take the whole car which in my mind would be better.

Re: Wheel Locks

I have them, got them at the dealer when I got the car. I'd say go for it if you're worried.

Re: Wheel Locks

Anyone have a specific part number / brand they've had good success with? I've seen many types taken off simply by slamming on them hard enough with an old socket & hammer. I have a wk2.

They seem to have a few variations. Any thoughts on these? McGard 24215 Chrome M14 x 1.5 Thread Size Cone Seat Wheel Lock Set, (Set of 4) http://www.amazon.com/McGard-24215-C...2104220&sr=8-6

Re: Wheel Locks

I went with the tried and trusted McGard. Also got their regular lug nuts as the chrome ones tarnish so quickly in winter.

All of them still look brand new and clean up well with just car shampoo when clean the rims. Not that cheap but so worth it.

Re: Wheel Locks

We sell Gorilla brand locks. They run $20.00 per set of 4. The key is serial numbered. I've got two different sets on my Jeep.

Re: Wheel Locks

i use gorilla locks on my 300 and no problem what so ever. i have also had them on 3 other cars prior to the 300 and never an issue. idk maybe i live in a good area or maybe they found easier targets. either way i still have my car and my rims so i would say gorilla locks.
