Winter wheel options

Hey everyone, I'm pretty excited to pick up a new summit this week. I'm planning for winter as I alway have dedicated winter wheels and tires. During my search I don't find many people that switch over to winters on the stock 20's so what are people using for rims? 18's off a limited or aftermarket? I'm open to options and know all about the search feature I've been roaming for a few weeks now and not finding answers. The best option I have found is to drop down to 18's thanks in advance.

Re: Winter wheel options

How do the 20's handle in snow? On all of my other cars with winters I have always gone down a size for more sidewall flex for winter.

Re: Winter wheel options

The 20s perform just as well as other sizes I've had in the past.
If you downsize you have the added protection of more sidewall but I don't have that ability because I need 20s for the Brembo's.

How do the Blizzaks handle deep snow? Like 12" to 18" I'm in Northwest Indiana and we get bad lake effect snow, last year I ran the little Boggers off my CJ. They rubbed a little and the wife complained about the noise and ride.

I've always heard good things about them from the Beemer boys but this is my first city Jeep.

Re: Winter wheel options

I'm 20 miles west of downtown Chicago and ive had Blizzaks in 18, 19, and now 20". I can tell you the differences between sizes is negligible. A thinner tire might perform slightly better but Id rather not have my Jeep look like a rollerskate.
