Tried grinding down the caliper bracket last night. Got it to clear the rim by a hair. Then I became too scared to remove any more material for fear of future problems due to flexing, stress and heat distortion. So wheel spacers it is! They will compliment the 2" lift when I get it installed anyways! I wouldn't recommend the caliper bracket mod to anyone.

Re: Wrangler wheels on WK?

If you are going to run spacers make sure to run spidertrax. All others are JUNK.

Here are the MR-1's no spacers required.

Re: Wrangler wheels on WK?

Clearing by Hair is all that is needed. I can only fit a credit card between the caliper and the wheel. Your wheel may have different clearances though, because its a different wheel.

Another member suggested bora spacers. They look great and reviews sound really good. Better selection of widths too. Lifetime warranty as well.

Re: Wrangler wheels on WK?

I have said it once I will say it again. If you don't run wheels with the proper offset and have to run spacers. Spidertrax are the only spacers to run. If you want to risk your life with some other brand, best of luck to you.

Those wheels are the exact same as the ones I have on mine and they definitely hit! I'm running 3/4" Bora wheel spacers with the wheels and everything is clear and it looks and drives great. No issues despite everyone saying spidertrax are the "only" ones to run. Love the look of it now.

Thanks man, I'm looking into some other options now. I really don't wanna run spacers.

I didn't either. That's why I went with the 3/4 inch spacers and glad I did because they look awesome with the wheels out just that little bit! I also have a daystar 2" lift in it which helps the look too.

Yea i like your a lot. Looks good! Looking at some 18in Saharas right now too. We'll see. It gets confusing. Everyone's got an opinion.
