05 4.7 oil pan rusted out..change out tips?

hey guys,
well i am back again, another issue. all is well with the jeep till today...i give credit to this forum for that...you guys have been very helpful.

i noticed a burning oil smell today...no puddles anywhere. when i got her home i went underneath and noticed the skid plate had oil on it. so i checked the usual places....to my great disappointment the oil pan is seeping oil from the bottom where it has apparently rusted through. i have been looking for how to info or tips on the job...i haven't found anything really. i cant be the only one with this problem...honestly i am shocked a vehicle this old had the pan rust out. i have a 96 f150 with 300k miles and the pan looks better...and its the beater of my pack.

so, any help or tips are greatly appreciated...i called the dealership and they quoted me 650.00 to do the job so i am guessing its not just a simple swap.

thanks guys.
