Just make sure all the air is out of the system. I know on mine i had to let the car sit for a while and more air came out, then it was all liquid pouring out. Drive the jeep at highway speeds and see if it drops below half which it should.

Re: 06 4.7 slightly high engine temp- i need your help

one thing i always do to remove the air from the cooling system is.

after filling the radiator to the top, with the radiator cap off start the engine and crank the heat and turn it to defrost. once the thermostat opens you should see the coolant level drop. this is cause its refilling the heater core and its purging the air from the system.

dont shut it off yet leave it running and continue to fill it up once you have reached the top of the radiator wait til you see all of the air bubbles stop put the cap back on and let it come up to full operating temp while leaving the defrost on. once up to normal operating temp shut it down let it cool completely. once completely cool take the cap off again check level again and top off if needed. and thats it.
