If you put a rod thru the engine, you need a new engine.

What was the original engine in it?

pics?

Re: 06 Jeep Commander locked up engine

In my experience full coverage has typically covered this type of damage. liability, no go.

I think the hemi reman longblock from chrysler is like 7k iirc for the motor itself, then add in the 15+/- hours labor at 100 bucks an hour and odds and ends and your looking at 10k for a reman motor in there. I am not sure if insurance will put a fresh motor or just give a junkyard price estimate on a motor, you will have to see what your insurance says.

Hey...what are you going to do? My inner tie rod was about to blow and I sold the Jeep instead of fixing it. Wasn't worth the cost.
