06 JGC WK 3.0 CRD Limited ( Stock )
Two months ago I replaced my front hubs, I got two assemblies for a little over £100. Since the job was done on the 24th May I have had a vibration across the front axle. The noise comes and goes depending on cornering and speed it usually always starts at 30 mph. I have rebuild the front end without victory and now I need help.... So far.
New sway bar bushings and drop links.
Disc and pads all round.
From LCA's and ball joints.
New Turbo resonator support bracket.
New Goodyear wranglers on the front.
Diff fluid drained and changed with additive.
New transmission support bracket.
Aligned and balanced three times.
Oil and filter.
New PCV valve.
Cleaned and re reseated the EGR valve. (Twice).
Rotated the tyres all over the truck.
Checked the CV shafts, u joints and pinion bearing on the rear DS, no movement, small play in the front Axle Shafts but boots in tact and look fine.
Transmission fluid and filter change.
Luckily I do all the work myself, but the cost is beginning to mount. I have a sneaky suspicion that the hubs are to blame ( buy cheap buy twice ), but not 100%. Checked the front diff bushes and all looks good, the vibration is definitely rotational. Any help is gratefully appreciated.
