06 WK thud thud thud no8se under light braking

Hey guys,
I have an 06 WK Laredo 3.7. Tonight while driving in extremely cold temps -10F I notoced as I lightly pressed and held the brake I got a repeatative thudding noise that sounds like its coming from my left front. If I press down harder on the brake it goes away. The thudding noise slows as the jeep slows. The problem suddenly appeared about 3 hours ago. Not sure where to look and dont have a lot of money to just throw parts at it. Any ideas?

Re: 06 WK thud thud thud no8se under light braking

Its probably runout in the rotor. It causes the pads to walk back and fourth in the caliper and can cause a repetitive thumping or knocking noise. If its while you apply the brakes, that would be the FIRST thing I looked at.
