07WK Not Starting

Hello all. I was traveling all day today and when I went to start my Jeep after getting fuel and... CLICK, nothing, nada. All lights were functioning and it would unlock/lock via remote, but no turnover (just a subtle "click").

What could be the issue? I have a brand new battery in the remote and in the Jeep. Has there been issues with the Sentry keys that I'm unaware of?

Thanks.

JRYock

Re: 07WK Not Starting

Most likely the starter. Did it eventually start or were you towed from the gas station. The starter is around the $120 range

Re: 07WK Not Starting

Most likely it is the starter. It could possibly be a bad ground to the starter. Mine was acting the same way last week. However, when I went to look at the starter( under the drivers side ) their was a bolt that was loose and it wasn't grounding out the black wire that led to the starter properly. If thats not the case try giving the starter a couple of bangs with a rubber mallet, that will usually give the starter enough juice to start up a couple of more times.

I'll know more tomorrow. Thanks for the input; I'll be sure to post the solution once diagnosed and solved.

I was towed. Thank goodness for that GEICO gecko.

Re: 07WK Not Starting

So how'd you make out? I'm having the same problem. I did tap the starter and it turned over for me, but I personally think it's a bad ground, or sensor issue. I believe the jeep is not reading it's in park. Keep us posted
