Re: 2005 5.7 transmision problems only 1-2

Strange that the clutch was burnt, but the fluid didnīt had a burnt smell. Did they find the cause of the burnt clutch, or had it probably to do with the broken wire of the solenoid which you had found before?

Do you suppose, in an effort to fix it, someone changed the fluid and cleaned the pan before you bought it??

Re: 2005 5.7 transmision problems only 1-2

when I bought it I chenged fluid, It smelled little burnt and there was little grey mud, dont know how to call it, but only very little so it wasnt that obviuos that the cluth was burnt adn I wanted to check everything else before taking tranny apart.

I think the burnt od clutch was caused by line pressure sensor fault. it gave wrong readings and pcm lowered pressure so clutch slipped and burned.

now I have all new clutches.
