Hey gang, just purchased a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. The tire monitoring light is on and I hear a loud clicking sound for about 15 seconds when I first start the car and the TPMS symbol comes on. Is there a way to remove the stems and replace with regular stems and disable the monitor system. I would just as soon not use the monitor system at all. Thanks Alan

Welcome to the forum, Alan. Yes, you can replace the TPMS Sensors with standard stems, but you'll get a continous TPMS light and probably a DTC to go along with it. Very annoying! You can't render the warning system completely inoperative because it is an integral component with the SKREEM (WCM) Module and interacts with other components. From the FSM:

"The receiver circuit for the TPM system is integrated into the WCM. The WCM also includes the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) receiver and the Sentry Key Immobilizer (SKIM) receiver. All three receivers share a number of common components."
