Re: 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 limited overheating when idle ?
First things I'd check is the waterpump weep hole to make sure it's still spinning properly at idle (controlled by the serpentine belt, which could be super loose). Then I'd check the specialized MOPAR power steering fluid (the fan is hydraulic on the HEMI) and make sure there's not a leak (fairly common). Then I'd go ahead and make sure you haven't blown your thermostat and it's stuck in the closed position. Not necessarily in that order though. Oh yeah, and check the coolant level/age.
