I did the mini lift, and couldn't get the clevis bolt out of the LH front... took it to a mechanic who had more tools, and he ended up replacing the lower control arm becacuse he destroyed the bushing trying to remove that bolt... anyway, a clunk in the lh front suspension showed up shortly after... when I was going slow and turning sharp; side entry garage, turning into driveway, etc...
after reading all of this thread, I decided to start with the "loose lower control arm" theory, and found the front bolt was not torqued to spec. As I turned the bolt, the clunk happened. I got about 90 degrees of movement of bolt to get to the 125 ft-lbs spec. And, the clunk is gone.
Thank you all for posting your experiences, I was very relieved to ditch the clunk.
