2006 Grand Cherokee, Hemi, 5.7 L, starts, but dies without idle

2006 Grand Cherokee, Hemi, 5.7 L, starts, but dies without idle, after several attempts there is no turn over, but just a click. Wait and try again thirty minutes or so and most of the time it returns to no problem. After that problem I took it to a mechanic and he couldn't find a problem because there was no symptoms to the problem. A few days later I had the same problem again. Since it is Sunday the mechanic is not available. Like before wait and it has no problem. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

l had a similar problem, do the key trick, if you get a 513 code (l think) the chip in the key is screwed. Or try with your spare key

What maybe happening is it starts but cannot read the transponder in the key so it cuts the motor, after a few trys it will not even turn over , The key will work intermittently before it fails completely
