Re: 2006 Grand Cherokee Radio Display

I Took apart my radio unit , checked the fan working externally using batteries. Also I put new heat compound on the sink. But, still there is no display. I guess there is something else bad, because if it was the overheating issue, the radio should come on everyday morning or when the climate is cold or when I start the radio after night. I noticed that it was getting hot when I played radio for 10mins or so and the fan was not still working. So,I also held the radio against the A/c cold air flow neat the dashboard vent to get is cool. The heat sink was chilled after a while, but there was no display. So, at this point, I dont know what to do. This is frustrating.

Re: 2006 Grand Cherokee Radio Display

I dont know if this helps but my alpine aftermarket double din gets hot with the fan running, seems normal to run hot.
