I am experiencing the same issue, with weird shimmy at idle. RPM's dont move but feels like a rough idle.

CaeMax cleaned the TB, and said that was the problem......hasn't helped

As strange as it sounds...have you checked your transmission fluid level?

Apparently, if it is a little low, it has an impact on how the torque converter functions and can cause stalling when coming to a stop.

Re: 2006 jeep cherokee limited 4.7 still stalling

I have also seen coils cause a stall concern, it has been suggested that you buy one and swap it from cylinder to cylinder till it stops stalling, but that is time consuming. If you knew someone with a 4.7l that you could swap coils and see if the problem follows that would be awesome... but like thats the case.

Re: 2006 jeep cherokee limited 4.7 still stalling

Chang the TPS the throttle position sensor. My 05 4.7 had similar issues it had irregular rpms stalled at times etc. Cheap part I want to say 20 bucks and it is two 8 or 10 mm bolts holding it place.
