2007 Laredo Transmission Overtemp

All,
My 2007 Laredo will not start. When ignition turned there is an engine compartment clicking sound and the instrument cluster displays transmission overtemp (the engine/trany are stone cold). Does anyone have an idea as to what could be wrong? Thanks very much.

Headlights work etc. but the battery is 5 years old so it very well may not have the amps to run the starter. Will replace.

Thanks.

same thing happened to me when i first bought mine, except mine was a little more involved. The battery was bad, but also there was a major electrical gremlin, after numerous trips back to the dealer, about $9k later (on there dime cause of warrenty) they replaced every computer in the vehicle. Why they didnt just find me a new WK i'll never know, but in the end, the $14,000 i paid for my jeep, there is no way they made a dime...

sorry for the rant, felt good to let out.
