2015 Overland Body Guard

Hi, I am in the market for a 2015 Overland. During a test drive and pending purchase, the sales rep stated he was having a Body Guard added at a cost of 350 dollars to my estimate stating it was required on all Overland's. Is this true? And what is a Body Guard?

Sounds like a classic dealer add on. Perhaps a basic clear bra. Have them clarify. No, you do not have to buy this, just like any of the options. If it didn't come from the factory with it and you did not ask for it, you don't need to pay for it.

Our dealer tried to add a bunch of this kind of stuff, including paint sealant, fabric treatment, rubber floor mats and nitrogen in the tires (oh boy). Just say no.

Re: 2015 Overland Body Guard

Thanks for the info. I was waiting for the trade in estimate when he came out with this sales estimate that included this Body Guard thing and told me it was being put on at that very moment, without even asking, and explained it was some kind of protectant for the edges of the doors and it was required. I didn't ask for it . I didn't buy the car because of the low trade in value they offered. Guess the next sucker will be paying for that. Just want to know next time I am out looking for one.
