3.7 Temp @ normal use

Hello all

Well, after 3 weeks of use,

I found the temperature is always under the half ( \ ' ) <-like this.

Is it the normal temperature, on my ex ZJ the it was always around the middle at 95C.

I think its the thermostat, cause my mileage is also very high for only 6 cylinders, 12,1 mpg.

Someone of 3.7 user can tell me how is his temp gauge ? and his mileage too by the way!!

Thanks !!

Re: 3.7 Temp @ normal use

Your mpgs are low because you have a heavy vehicle with a weak engine. The v8 gets the same mpg as the v6

Re: 3.7 Temp @ normal use

If the temperature is running cool then why complain lol. unless you are in a very cold area. I can get anywhere from 12-25 mpg. If it was the thermostat you would be over heating.

Yeah, thanks all,

I changed my spark plug yesterday I ll try this today if it's better.

The thermostat can be blocked in open position too.

Re: 3.7 Temp @ normal use

Yes it can be, you can test this i believe by starting you car when its cold and then slowly unscrew the allen screw that you use to bleed air out of the cooling system. If there is not much coolent comming out you know its closed. Once the engine heats up alot of coolant will come out.

Re: 3.7 Temp @ normal use

the only time mine has ever been directly at half was sitting in traffic on 95S in CT during the summer in road construction for about an hour. Other than that mine lands right where yours is.
