5.7 hemi problem

Hi all !
I just had my hemi engine replaced with a rebuilt one by the dealership and noticed that the torque is lacking. Just doesnt have that "get up and go" attitude it used to. Any one have ideas as to why ?

Thank you !

Re: 5.7 hemi problem

If it's a "new rebuild" the rings may not have seated yet, so the compression pressure may still be low. Since the stealer did it, are you sure it is a rebuild and not a cleaned up used engine? The computer (PCM) is also probably relearning. What happened to the old engine?

Re: 5.7 hemi problem

Cause for new was faulty thermostat...I saw the old one on the floor of the shop...pretty chewed up, replaced water pump and header too. Got to shake the header to hear the music of the metal inside ! I was told to drive as I would normally.
