First cold start of the day takes 10-15 seconds. Starts immediately afterwards. Sputters on some occasions on take off and I have to back off the accelerator and then press it again to gain power. Suggest focus on the front brake pad issue until you get it resolved.
If you have a sticking piston/pad, that could cause all sorts of wierd driveability problems... but mainly the ZJ never really overheated pads in normal driving, and you appear to have something wrong on yours.
Can't think of how electrical gremlins could cause sticking brakes.
